Urban Mozaik Magazine is an online multicultural publication that features articles about life in a modern multicultural society and shares stories about the diverse cultural aspects of being human. We have been publishing Urban Mozaik since 1997 when it was first published in print and since 2001 we've been publishing it exclusively online. We hope you enjoy reading about the subjects we cover including mixed-race, diversity and tolerance issues.

Editor's Words and Thoughts

As I sit down to read the newspaper or watch the evening news, the question "Why?" seems to ring over and over in my head. Often a feeling of hopelessness overcomes me and I wonder if race relations in our world will ever improve. So, instead of simply wondering about it, I thought it was time to do something positive about it. It was time to take ignorance and apathy and turn them into knowledge and understanding.

Urban Mozaik™ is not an outlet for our racial struggles, it is a celebration of people as unique individuals and of the spirit of being human. Our society is changing every day. Our surroundings are in constant flux and our attitudes about people are constantly being challenged. It's important that we see people as people regardless of their race or the color of their skin. If we all look inside one another we will see more human similarities than differences. Yet, at the same time, it is these differences that make our society truly unique and interesting. And it is within Urban Mozaik™ that you will find these profound similarities and wonderful differences. Our online publication offers you thought-provoking feature articles, "Voices" from our readers, music, film and book summaries, multicultural news and more, including an ever-growing, extensive editorial archive.
